During Ramadan, that means Iftar meals: soup, dates to break the fast, traditional Lebanese stews with rice, bulgur, lentils, chicken, and meat. Lunch distributions continue for Christian communities and others not observing the fast. In the middle of displacement and grief, a warm meal prepared with care is an act of profound humanity.
But the need is growing. The shelters are already full. The families keep coming.
